We renovated the Edwardian school building in Cardiff which has been Chapter’s home for the past forty years. At its relaunch First Minister Rhodri Morgan said: ‘If there is a better arts centre than Chapter anywhere in Europe, I would like to see it.’ The lightbox above the main entrance hosts changing art works.
“Following its relaunch last autumn, it has aleady doubled its visitor numbers, and much of that is due to Ash Sakula’s friendly, incisive and appropriate design.”
“The detailing is good; the sense of enlarged space impressive. And while the visual identity of the
building’s exterior has utterly changed, it feels evolutionary, not seismic.”
