We were commissioned to develop a design for the new International Centre for Writing in Norwich, a key part of the city’s plan to become a Unesco World City of Literature.
The proposal involves the restoration and adaptation of GradeII* listed Gladstone House, together with an annexe containing an urban writer’s retreat, and a new events space facing the back facade of Gladstone House, creating a garden courtyard that is the heart of the new organisation, and also acts as its main entrance.
